I was asked: “How do I design a successful website?”

I have often respond: “You know, the best way to ruin a new site design?” What is the answer, perhaps: “The lack of adequate planning to guess in advance.”

To make things different. In programming, it is an old saying: “The sooner your code, the longer it lasts until the end.”

Plan your site before you build, it is essential. To borrow a technique from the film industry, I recommend you create a storyboard, which is a type of graph-design your new website. You do not need an accomplished artist to draw your idea, but it is important to create it on paper first.

On each sheet of paper, the goal is to make room for a picture on, plus have the space below to write information.
