The homepage (the first page of your site) is where you and your company to make a first impression and we all know what they say first impressions. This is the first place, get new visitors and where visitors are here!. You must answer two types of customers. There are some things that are essential to your home page, and each is explained below.

Navigation

Navigation is the most important part of your homepage. It does not matter what your site where visitors can not get there. On your homepage your visitors should be able to reach every part of your site. Your links on your navigation bars should be the same on each side. Your visitors will then know how to get back to what really interests the page. If users can not find what they want, they simply look at another site. It is a fact. Your links on the navigation bars should also be simple (one or two words), but descriptive. Use text for navigation buttons are not. Buttons look great, but they need time to download and you do not want to leave your visitors before they can see the whole page, and you?

Branding

The brand is another essential element for your home. I’m sure your small business has a logo and stuck to it, what you can find to promote your business. Well, it should prevail in a place be booked on your website. We all know that the brand is a word or a company (eg a logo) that shows the consumer the identity of the manufacturer of the product or service. Display your logo on your site reminds users exactly where they are.

Contents

Last but not least is the content. The content is also very important. You must remember to get your content, how to write speak your visitors, it creates a better connection between your site and visitors. Your home page content need to make fresh and interesting to read the rest of your site. You can add links to your site in the text. Additionally, you want in plain text just what do not include you or your company. You would be amazed how many sites to search, to find out what is their goal.

These things should help you start building your website. There is a rule that I learned. It is the KISS rule (Keep It Simple Student). Your site must not work with all types of images and Flash design and flash brightly. Most people like the locations where they are simple and easy to understand. You must remember who your audience. Therefore, you should have to speak their language.
